 Description:

This program, which is held in the St Anne School and Parish Center, is taught by two adult volunteer catechists per grade. All grades (except 2nd) use the Augustine Institute/Ignatius Press Word of Life curriculum. This text features a unique scope and sequence that integrates four major themes: (1) salvation history, (2) Christian anthropology, (3) heroic virtue & character formation, and (4) learning through discipleship.  Children pray together, participate in service projects and form new friendships. They are also exposed to the rituals and traditions unique to our Catholic faith.

We ask that each student be brought to the classroom and picked up after class by a parent/ designated adult or older sibling.  DO NOT leave your child in the classroom or hallway if a catechist is not present.

 Parent Commitment:

  • Regular participation at weekend liturgy is a central element of this program and our Catholic Faith.
  • Encourage at home prayer with your family
  • Stay current with your child’s classroom activities.
  • Support your child’s catechist as a substitute or with other classroom assistance.
