"Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name." --Psalm 100:4

Lectors

Lectors

General Information – Lectors are responsible for proclaiming the Word of God.  The lector is responsible the first and second readings during the Liturgy of the Word, and the prayers of the faithful.

Time commitment – Lectoring is on a volunteer basis, with most serving once per month.  Sign up emails enable interested Lectors to choose the time and weekend that is most convenient for them.  Scheduling is very flexible with some choosing to skip a month when it doesn't work for their schedule.  Interested candidates will receive training before being asked to serve.  In addition, Lectors should practice and prepare their readings the week prior to their scheduled date.

Interested? – If you are a registered parishioner who has received the sacrament of confirmation and have a desire to serve God in this way, we would love to have you join this ministry.  All interested parties are encouraged to email Tom Rabaey at tomrabaey@gmail.com, or call/text 5073813877 to learn more.
